on how to optimize your practice to get the results you want.

Jason Aylsworth is a licensed mental health clinician in private practice, and long-time mindfulness practitioner. After encountering mindfulness over 20 years ago, Jason has taken a deep dive into all things mindful. In this brief guide, he has combined his understanding of mental health with a deep study and practice of mindfulness in order to help you gain greater clarity, focus, and contentment.
He started his mental health practice in 2016 to make a real impact on those who were suffering. Through his journey as a health practitioner, he learned how deeply intertwined the practice of mindfulness and the practice of psychotherapy are, and leaned into learning how each can support the other.
Jason has logged thousands of hours "on the cushion" meditating, and thousands of hours "in the chair" performing psychotherapy with a diverse range of people. He is confident he can support you in refining your approach to meditation and mental health in an accessible way.
Prior to working as a therapist, Jason spent over 10 years as a behavioral therapist and educator, working with children with developmental delays. He also served as an education specialist at a non-profit program for families struggling with finding affordable housing, and was responsible for implementing and running their after-school tutoring program .
In his work as a therapist and educator, Jason combines his background in education with his unique experience and expertise at the intersection of education, psychology, Buddhism, and behavioral change to create effective and accessible evidence-based and science-backed mental health programs.
